Partnering with Center for Muslim Ministries

We are very excited to be partnering with the Center for Muslim Ministries for a strategic church planting initiative. In Tanzania there are several areas in the country that are home to our over 13 million Muslims. In many of these areas there are no evangelical churches presenting the gospel. We have targeted 100 areas to help to start churches so that these least reached people would have an opportunity to hear about Christ.

Meet our pastors and see what God is doing.

Isaac Shayo - Msumi B

Isaac-Shayo.jpg

Pastor Isaac Shayo started a fellowship in Msumi B,an area in Dar es Salaam that is predominantly Islamic. The main three people groups in the area are the Yao, Mwera and Machinga. Currently there are 5 Muslim background believers in the fellowship.

God is moving in mighty ways in Msumi B. One of Pastor Shayo’s members was demon possessed. Due to her troubles she had to drop out of school. Her parents and teachers were worried because she wasn’t able to continue on in normal life. When Pastor Shayo met her, he felt God’s leading for him to pray for her. When he did she was comepletely healed. Next week Pastor Shayo is traveling back to her home to visit with the teachers in the school so that she can return and begin studying.

Not only is God moving but Satan is resisting. There was a group of witchdoctors in the neighborhood who had a booming business. The fellowship began to pray against them and it wasn’t long till their power dropped. They knew it was as a result of the fellowship’s prayers so they trumped up charges against the Pastor and had him thrown in jail. The Presbyter came and bailed him out and eventually the judge, recognizing that the case was false, dismissed the case.

Didas Temi - Haubi

Didas-P.-Temi.jpg

Upon leaving Dar es Salaam, the largest city of Tanzania, to pursue the call of God upon his life, Pastor Didas P. Temi and his family started a fellowship in Haubi, a large village in Kondoa that is predominantly Islamic and Roman Catholic. The main people group in the area is the Warangi.  Currently, there are no Muslim background believers in the fellowship.

One of the amazing things about the Haubi A/G Church is the amount of growth it has experienced in just a short period of time.  Pastor Temi attributes the growth to one significant event where a person from this area was healed of epilepsy during a crusade which he held.  As a result of this miracle, many Warangi came to Christ and became members of the church.
