]]>AOP Tundwihttp://tanzamania.org/ron-and-gloria/NaN/NaN/NaN/aop-tundwi.htmlNick Stuva2007-05-16T19:14:14Z2007-05-16T19:14:14ZYesterday was a wonderful day.  We along with Scott, Karen and girls, and another missionary family traveled to church, crossing the ferry, etc.  The roads were wet, muddy with huge puddles of water throughout some of the travel.  Going through them took some doing, in fact, one time our newest missionary family got stuck.  We were the lead vehicle, We would get through, then wait for the next car, then the next.  We were transporting a group of people out from the states.  Because of the bad roads, we were an hour late getting to church.  They were just ending Sunday School as we arrived.  The people we had with us, the man (he brought along his wife and 3 children, plus two friends) helped erect this church building a few months back.  He wanted to show his family and friends where he had worked, etc.

Scott preached, the pastor had him introduce everyone.  Then, he said we have a well that was given to the church (for use of the village people), another one has just been finished in another part of the village, given by the Tanzania Assemblies of God and the Assemblies of God Mission (note:  the wells came from people who have donated for this project from the states).  Ron performed the dedication service.  It was quite a sight!  The well was locked, Ron presented the pastor with the keys, saying he was the caretaker of the well or "father of the well".  The pastor said everywhere he walked in the village, people would say this is the pastor that brought us a well.  He said it has given him numerous opportunities to witness.  This is a totally Muslim community.  I cried as I saw the completed well, feeling such joy, and praying God would use it to bring glory to His name!
